Affinity suite

Affinity Suite is a design software that I came across in June 2020. Everyone was on a budget and fellow artists shared their software recommendations. Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer, and Affinity Publisher are substitutes for Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

I adapted to this software fairly quickly due to its similarities with Adobe programs whilst containing many additional unique features. I can also edit Adobe files – up to a certain extent. It cannot edit mockups, which is one of the cons. Another con is not having access to Image Trace. Nevertheless, I haven’t needed that particular tool for a while and I’m sure the Affinity developers are working on it.

Adobe was the most used and preferred designer tool throughout my educational experience. I am familiar with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe Lightroom.

  • Projected Skills: Adobe After Effects

After Effects is a tool I would love to expand on. I am somewhat familiar with its tools as I practiced the program in 2020 and still have active experience using simple key-framing methods from video editing.

Web Designing has become a very entertaining skill that I developed within three months in 2022. Utilizing Siteground Hosting and the Elementor Website Builder by WordPress to create and maintain client and business domains has affected my interest in learning more about proper Marketing and AISEO skills.

Davinci Resolve Logo

DaVinci Resolve is a very strong program that I have come across in 2020. I felt a very close familiarity with Adobe Premiere as well as many advanced editing tools. Out of all the profiles, the one I am most familiar with so far is Editing and Delivery. I can cut, trim, add transitions, and more when it comes to video editing with DaVinci Resolve Studio. My starting goal is to gain an understanding of the Media, Cut, Fairlight, Fusion, and Color profiles.

As I learn about Web Development, Visual Studio Code has been a very creative and interesting software to get used to.

I have SheCodes to thank as I develop my working knowledge of HTML, JS, and CSS. I am taking the time to work my way up to learning more advanced lessons.
